Elon Musk’s space exploration business SpaceX has been dealing with offering web connection through satellites for a while now. The pilot jobs have begun in some parts of the world, and now it looks like Google desires a slice of the pie. The Mountain View-based tech giant has revealed that it won an offer to provide computing and networking support to SpaceX.

In a press announcement, Google said, “Under this collaboration, SpaceX will begin to find Starlink ground stations within Google data centre residential or commercial properties, allowing the safe, low-latency, and reliable shipment of data from more than 1,500 Starlink satellites. introduced to orbit to date to areas at the network edge through Google Cloud.”

” Linking Starlink’s high-speed, low-latency broadband with Google’s base and abilities offers international organizations with the safe and secure and quick connection that modern-day organizations expect,” stated SpaceX President and Chief Operating Officer Gwynne Shotwell. “We are proud to deal with Google to deliver this access to companies, public sector organizations, and many other groups running all over the world.”

These satellites will connect up to Google’s information centres. The information will come back through Google’s information centres to satellites and eventually reach the end-users.

SpaceX just recently revealed that it had gotten over 5 lakh orders for its satellite web co-operation. In October 2020, SpaceX started a beta scheduled for its priced service at $99 each month. Interested users will also have to pay $499 for Starlink Set, a user terminal and a Wi-Fi router to link to the satellites.
